Grapes:
Chardonnay, from the plot of the Aigle plateau.
Winemaking:
These grapes were harvested manually and pressed at the Chateau des Tourettes by Jean-Marie Guffens. A selection of juices was made during pressing to keep only the first juices to maintain a very good acidity. The wine has been vinified in barrels (25% new) for 8 months, before subsequent aging in concrete vats on fine lees for a further 10 months.
Taste Profile:
The wine has a very expressive nose with toasted aromas, it has a beautiful reduction on the nose. There are also mineral aromas and fresh herbs. The mouth is rich, sweet and at the same time rich, chalky mineral and linear.
