Gippsland is the home turf for William Downie, and this Pinot captures the region�s darker, more brooding side. Sourced from two vineyards�Matthews in Berrys Creek and Guendulain Farm in Yarragon�it�s a wine that hums with depth, savoury complexity, and unmistakable Downie finesse.

Blood plum, blackberry, and blackcurrant lead the charge, backed by violets, liquorice, and a whisper of cinnamon. There�s an earthy, almost smoky undercurrent, the kind of savoury depth that makes you want to keep coming back for another sip. The palate is long and layered, with bright acidity keeping everything in check and ensuring serious ageing potential.

Equally at home on the dinner table or in the cellar for a few years. Best from 2027, but impossible to resist now.
