LEchezeaux is a Grand Cru appellation of Flagey-Echezeaux, vast in surface area, with different climates and plots between Vougeot and Vosne-Romanee. Les Echezeaux are made up of various soils at an altitude of 260 to 300m, separated from the Grands Echezeaux by a simple path. With an east-southeast exposure, they can be considered as the natural extension of the Clos de Vougeot. The upper part rests on a hard limestone base, favorable to finesse. Lower, the soil is deeper, thus offering more powerful wines. The estate has 1ha of Echezeaux in three different climates: les Clos Saint Denis, les Echezeaux du Dessus and les Poulailleres. Red fruits and minerality intertwine, giving the Echezeaux a beautiful finesse and great elegance. The wine shows a beautiful length. The assembly of the three plots brings a beautiful complexity thanks to: the depth of the Echezeaux du dessus, the minerality of the Clos St Denis and the finesse and femininity of the Poulailleres. Its color is deep ruby red and it has all the seriousness of Grands Crus.
