Puligny-Montrachet is arguably Burgundy's most cherished village for white Burgundies, home to the "Grand Cru Montrachet." Prominent families have nurtured vineyards here for centuries. Burgundy enthusiasts often ensure they have Puligny-Montrachet wines in their cellars, knowing the great producers from this land. The largest landowners are Domaine Leflaive and Domaine Paul Pernot, the latter's granddaughter being Alvina Pernot.
In 2018, Alvina Pernot, alongside her husband Philippe Abadie, started her own "micro-negoce" label in Puligny-Montrachet. Leveraging her experience from Domaine Paul Pernot, Alvina now produces some of Burgundy's finest wines.
Alvina harvests grapes from her grandfather's domaine, carefully selecting parcels to express her individual style. The variety of appellations owned by Paul Pernot provides Alvina with an incredible canvas to showcase her undeniable talent.

"We aim to make wines with more tension, so we chose the highest altitude parcel of the family's four plots in Les Folatieres" - Alvina Pernot
Alvina and Philippe have a new winery on Puligny's Rue de Bois, allowing them to master the elevage and pressing of their wines. In 2020, their most successful vintage to date, La Rue Aux Vaches, was joined by another Puligny lieu-dit cuvee, Clos des Noyers Brets.
"Within the Pernot holdings, Alvina and her husband favor earlier-picked fruit and higher-altitude parcels. The cuvees harvested and pressed in-house highlight the potential of future vintages. All wines are bottled under high-quality natural cork." - William Kelley, Wine Advocate
