La Furtiva
A young Oscar Navas got his start at the well-known Mallorcan winery, 4 Kilos, and it was there that the idea for La Furtiva was born. Feeling a strong connection to his grandmother's hometown in Terra Alta, Oscar decided to stop working for others and launch his own project in Vilalba dels Arcs. In 2017, he produced his first vintage using a friend's cellar in Terra Alta—a small batch of white wine that truly captured the essence of the region.
Terra Alta is a dry Mediterranean area with hot days, a salty afternoon breeze, and cool nights thanks to its elevation. This unique climate gives Oscar’s wine a perfect balance of concentrated flavor, acidity, and freshness. The region's famous ‘panal’ soil, which is sandy and doesn’t hold much water, forces the vines to dig deep for water. The result? Low yields, small grape clusters, and intense flavors.
